Well... I'm still here... it's such a terrible shame. ;) Didn't sleep in too late this morning, probably because we went to bed about 9:30 pm local time. Heh. David Letterman was on... it's time for bed.
Woke up several times this morning and gave up on going back to sleep about 6:30. Grabbed some food and watched tv for a while and then we went down to the beach and played with Nat, GREAT (more pics, still coming). Worse part was saying "no, thanks/no, gracias" over and over again to the people selling their wares on the beach. You can only see so many amigos selling shades, henna tattoos, and on and on and on... I finally saw something I DID like, and we didn't have any cash. Unfortunately, we also found out it was noon and thought that we'd better head back.
Checked on the work situation via the interwebz, not much missing there. Made some lunch, hung out a while longer, everyone took 5 and Nat and I went down to the little commerce area at the front of the development. Brand new coffee shop opened up since we got here, Nat had some gelato, and I had a frappacino, sort of. :)
I asked him what he's thought of the trip so far, and he said that he loves it. His big concerns are beach and pool crowding and sand in his shoes. I think he's coping well.
While we were there, I scheduled an appointment for a pedicure and brought the kiddo back here.
So I'm was sitting in the spa chair, I kept getting this tingling sensation in the tops of my legs. It was NOT getting better. You might call it a "burning" feeling. I am f'ing fried. My right arm now matches my left, and both of my legs look and feel like a freshly smacked baby's ass. My feet were a little pink, alarming the girl who worked on my toes. It was a hell of a pedicure for $65. I tipped her well. She was a local chica, who thought she was hurting me every time she hit a ticklish spot on my feet, and my God, there are at least 50. I liked the service so much that I'm going back tomorrow for a mani. :)
Fortunately, Nat has been spared the rath of Rah or whatever you want to call the sun god.
Tonight we're going to grill out and tomorrow is basically our last day here since we'll have to be out early in the day and have a 5 hour drive back.
I AM NOT COMPLAINING.... I love this place. I could live here. Seriously. Of course, the not working really helps.
Hope everyone is doing okay where they are.
